To accelerate the work of data value realization and promote the green and low-carbon high-quality development of Rizhao City, on October 15th, the RDI Rizhao City Data Element Development Special Lecture was held. Gang JIA, a standing committee member of the Rizhao City Municipal Committee and the executive deputy mayor, attended the event, and Wei DU, the deputy secretary-general of the municipal government, presided over the meeting.

The lecture invited experts from RDI for special guidance. Xiaohong WANG, former deputy director and senior researcher of the Research and Information Department of the China Center for International Economic Exchanges, professor at Central University of Finance and Economics and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and a member of the RDI Expert Committee; Jinlei WANG, executive director of the Innovation Center of the China International Economic and Technical Cooperation Promotion Association, executive secretary-general of the Silk Road International Economic Forum Organization Committee, and legal representative and president of the Beijing Zhongke Internet of Things Identification Technology Research Institute, respectively gave special lectures titled "Innovative Development of Digital Trade" and "A Few Thoughts on the Development Strategy of Urban Digital Industry". They elaborated on the definition and connotation of digital economy development, current progress, and practical innovation from aspects such as the definition of digital trade, how digital trade has become the engine leading the innovation and development of trade, and the connotation and characteristics of urban digital industry development, in a profound yet accessible manner. Rong MA, Secretary-General of RDI, also attended the symposium and participated in subsequent research.

More than 90 people, including heads of relevant departments and units of Rizhao, heads in charge of relevant colleges and universities, all comrades of the Rizhao City Big Data Bureau, heads and business section chiefs of big data departments in districts and functional areas, and heads of relevant digital enterprises, attended the lecture.
