On August 14, the Embassy of Pakistan in China held a grand awarding ceremony in Beijing. On behalf of the President of Pakistan, Pakistani Ambassador to China Hashmi awarded the prestigious "Excellent Leadership Medal" to Ambassador Zukang SHA, China's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office in Geneva and other international organizations in Switzerland, former President of the China-Pakistan Friendship Association, and member of the Expert Committee of RDI, and Rong NONG, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council of China and former Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan.

The Pakistani Ambassador to China awarded Ambassador Zukang SHA and Ambassador Nong Rong the Medal of Outstanding Leadership

In his speech, Ambassador Hashmi expressed his sincere congratulations to the two Chinese politicians who received the medals and spoke highly of their contributions. He stressed that the efforts of the two have had a significant impact on bilateral relations and have also transcended the bilateral scope. The ambassador also reviewed the time-tested friendship between China and Pakistan, which has stood together through thick and thin, and called it a model of relations between countries based on mutual respect, strategic mutual trust and a common vision for global peace and development.

Ambassador Zukang SHA and Ambassador Rong NONG thanked the President of Pakistan and reiterated their commitment to further promote China-Pakistan relations. They said that the brotherhood between China and Pakistan has been a constant guiding force in their work, and this award is not only a recognition of their individual efforts, but also a recognition of the collective contributions of many highly dedicated people on both sides.

RDI was invited to attend the awarding ceremony

Baige Zhao, Vice Chair of Foreign Affairs Committee of 12th National People's Congress and Chair of Advisory Committee of Research and Development International (RDI), was invited to attend the awarding ceremony and witness the presentation of the medals.

Baige ZHAO had a cordial exchange with Pakistani Ambassador to China Hashmi. The two sides held in-depth discussions on promoting the high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road" and the docking of Pakistan's development plan, building an "upgraded version" of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, and promoting Pakistan's economic and social development, as well as digital, green, and intelligent technologies and enterprises "bringing in" and "going out". Ma Rong, Secretary-General of Landi International Think Tank, also attended the meeting.

On August 14, the Pakistani Embassy in China held a flag-raising ceremony to celebrate the 77th anniversary of Pakistan's Independence Day.

At the ceremony, embassy officials read out the congratulatory messages from the President, Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan.

In his speech, Ambassador Hashmi congratulated the Pakistani participants. He stressed that overseas Pakistanis play an important role in Pakistan's economic construction and prosperity. He encouraged all sectors of Pakistan to continue to play an active role and further consolidate the time-tested friendship between China and Pakistan.
