Yuanzheng CAO, graduated from Wuhan University with a Master's Degree in Economics and Renmin University of China with a Doctorate Degree in Economics. He holds Chief Economist of Bank of China, and Director and Executive Vice President of BOC International Holdings Limited. According to the news released on the website of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council in September 9^th, 2019, CAO was appointed as Outside Director of China Chengtong Holding Group Co., Ltd.

He served as Former Executive Vice President of the Academy of China Economic System Reform and Director of the Division of Comparative Economic System of the Foreign Economic System Division at the State Commission for Restructuring the Economic Reform and Deputy Director of the Division of Comparative Economic System Research.

CAO enjoys special allowance of the State Council. He is Columnist and Expert of China.org.cn of the State Council Information Office. He is Visiting Scholar of the School of Economics, Darmstadt University of Technology, Germany. He is also a PhD Supervisor of the School of Economics at Renmin University of China, Visiting Professor at University of Southern California, Adjunct Professor at Shanghai Fudan University. He holds Deputy Secretary-General of China Society of Macroeconomics. He is a Member of Chinese Economists 50 Forum and Distinguished Researcher of China Minsheng Institute.
