Dingming XU

Former   Director of National Energy Administration of    NDRC

As a Senior Engineer, Dianming XU has long been engaging in energy development strategy research, planning and implementation of major projects. He graduated from China University of Petroleum in 1970 and worked in Daqing, Dagang and Bohai Oilfields for 11 years. He worked successively in the Ministry of Petroleum Industry of the P.R.C., China National Offshore Oil Corporation, China National Petroleum Corporation and the Ministry of Energy of the P.R.C. He has successively served as Deputy Director of the Basic Industry Department of NDRC, Chief Inspector of NDRC and Director of the West-to-East Natural Gas Transmission Office. In April 2003, he was served as Director of National Energy Administration of NDRC. In April 2005, he also served as Deputy Director of National Energy Leading Group Office. In December 2014, he was appointed as Distinguished Researcher of Counselor's Office of the State Council.

XU has been actively promoting private enterprises' positive role in renewable energy, making great contributions to promoting China's energy revolution and building the modern system of heating and cooling. The energy revolution cannot develop without private enterprises. Private enterprises will explore under the guidance of scientific and technological innovation, pushing China's renewable energy development into a high-quality era.
