Iqbal SURVE is Founder and Chairman of Sekunjalo Investment Holdings Group. He is also one of the most influential African entrepreneurs, global business leaders and well-recognized philanthropists.

Established by Iqbal SURVE in 1997, Sekunjalo Investment Holdings Group is an investment holding group with more than 70 private and listed companies in Africa. It was nominated by the World Economic Forum in 2007 as one of the 125 " New Champions" and is also hailed as the Global Growth Company Community. Before his establishment of Sekunjalo Group, SURVE was affectionately known as "Struggle Doctor" because he provided medical assistance to victims of apartheid and provided medical services to South Africans who had been released from Robben Island. In 1989, at UNESCO in Paris, he was chosen as a "Model of Medical and Ethical Status" by Amnesty International.

SURVE has won numerous important awards for his outstanding contributions, and has been named as one of the most influential business leaders by the prestigious African magazine, saying he will shape the future of the African continent. SURVE is a philanthropist and serves as chairman of several NGOs. These organizations strongly support social entrepreneurs, education, and young people who got talents in art, sports and music. He is the President of the Graduate School of Business at University of Cape Town and Chairman of the UCT Foundation.

He is a Fellow of the African Leadership Initiative, an alumnus of the HRH the Prince of Wales Business and Environment Programme, and a Member of the Clinton Global Initiative Governance Committee appointed by President Clinton. He is a participant of the World Economic Forum, Former Co-Chairman of the South African-Saudi Arabia Business Council and a Member of the Board of the South Africa-America Business Council/Forum.
