Guoming ZHANG graduated from Beijing Institute of Technology with Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Mechanics in 1984. After graduation, he engaged in scientific research and teaching in Scientific Research Institute, Education and Training Center and Staff and Workers University of 354^th Factory under Ministry of Ordnance Industry of the P.R.C.. In 1996, he established Beijing Office of ANSYS, which evolved into Pera Global Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred as "Pera Global" in 2004. ZHANG is currently Chairman and President of Pera Global.

Since the founding of Pera Global 20 years ago, ZHANG has been committed to spreading and popularizing advanced R&D design technology, and made outstanding contributions to the informatization and its integration with industrialization in manufacturing industry in China. His lean R&D idea is a comprehensive R&D system based on systems engineering, which integrates knowledge, tools, quality methods and R&D processes to enhance R&D value and product quality.

At the 1^st Council of Beijing Association of Green Design and Green Manufacturing Promotion, ZHANG was elected as Chairman of the 1^st Council. In his inaugural speech, he stated that during his term of office, he would work hand in hand with all member units to give full play to their respective advantages, actively promote the concept of green development, promote green R&D and manufacturing technologies, and boost "Made in China 2025".
