Founder of Culture and Traveling Economy Road No.56 

Yiming CHEN is a well-known economist, a SOEs reform expert, one of the top 20 of China's 100 economists, a distinguished economist at the China Xiaokang Forum, founder of Culture and Traveling Economy Road No.56 under the guidance of the Seven Strategies of the 19th Central Committee of the CPC, and a senior expert in the Belt & Road economic development. He was once invited as a distinguished economist on the China-Russia Silk Road Economic Development Forum representing NDRC to accept an exclusive interview with Russian State Television.

CHEN is currently working as Excutive Director & Executive Secretary-General of the Commerce Economy Association of China to continuously promote the research and integration of large-scale consumption, large-scale circulation and large-scale market under the national “Dual Circulation” economic layout, push forward the integration of the central and local governments, make top-level design for the local economic development and lead SOEs to make investment layouts in local industries, so as to systematically promote the high-quality development of local economy.

He concurrently serves as Director of the Central Enterprise Media Alliance of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration of the State Council News Center, and Deputy Director of the Expert Committee of Modern SOE Research. He used to work as Member of Leadership Team of and Deputy General Manager of the mixed ownership reform enterprise of COFCO Corporation He represents China’s first senior expert who integrates academic research and practice in the field of China's SOEs reform, especially mixed ownership reform.

Culture and Traveling Economy Road No.56 created by CHEN covers the urban clusters of 16 provinces in the four major economic regions of the central and western China (Hainan, Lancang-Mekong, Western and Yellow River) and GBA, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, and Yangtze River Delta. It promotes multi-level cultural and economic interactions, and has set up Secretariats in many countries, such as the U.S., Italy, the U.K., Japan, South Korea, and Saudi Arabia. One of its major function is to promote cultural and economic exchanges between Yunnan and Southeast Asian countries through the layout of Lancang-Mekong Economic Zone.
