Coordinated Development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is a major national strategy planned and promoted by General Secretary Xi Jinping. The establishment of Xiong’an New Area is a strategic decision of historic significance made by the Central Committee of the CPC, and its construction represents a national project of millennial significance. Baoding sits at the back against Capital Beijing and surrounds Xiong’an, while Zhuozhou is located between Beijing and Xiong’an. Therefore, Baoding enjoys a unique geographical advantage and thus a strategic significance in the Coordinated Development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region.

During the 14^th Five-Year Plan period, the building of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei cluster will be gradually improved. The Coordinated Development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region will enter a critical phase, and the Xiong’an New Area’s planning and construction will open a new chapter, delivering major development opportunities for Baoding. The overall planning and coordinated development of Beijing-Baoding-Zhuozhou Region, integrated industrial development, planning for the implementation of the national mission are of great significance to embarking on a new journey of Baoding’s modernization from a high starting point.

They had discussions on Baoding’s economic development, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordination, industrial transformation and upgrading, scientific and technological innovation and development, efficient flow of talents, and healthy development of urbanization to provide ideas and suggestions for the high-quality economic development of Baoding during the 14^th Five-Year Plan period.
